The Comprehensive Disaster Management Drill was held in October 2011 and joined by rescue teams from Seoul, Singapore, Taipei, and New Taipei City.

Sewerage technology exchange connecting Bangkok and Tokyo:
Training of Sewerage Maintenance and Management Engineers was held

Trainees from Bangkok learned key technology of sewerage maintenance from TMG engineers through this productive training program, which was specially designed to meet the trainees' needs in consideration of the past technology exchanges.

New guidelines aimed to further enhance Tokyo's disaster readiness:
The TMG Disaster Response Guidelines were developed

In November 2011, TMG announced its new Disaster Response Guidelines, which were developed in reflection of lessons and challenges that Tokyo faced following the Great East Japan Earthquake. Read about the new direction of the disaster prevention plans that TMG is heading for.

Two Asian international students, who joined the Tokyo Metropolitan University program sponsored by the Asian Human Resources Fund beginning in 2008, completed a three year period of study in this September. The first two graduates through the fund commented about their lives in Tokyo.
