Interview with Asian students of the Tokyo Metropolitan University (2/2):
The reasons I decided to study in Tokyo

We interviewed two students, who have enrolled to perform research at the Tokyo Metropolitan University from October, 2012. The interview covers topics such as the reasons they decided to study in Tokyo and their ideas concerning their roles in Asia. The latter part features an interview with Ms. Rabeya AKHTER, a student from Dhaka.

Working together to improve waste administration in Asia:
Tokyo and Bangkok held the Workshop on 3Rs and Waste Management

The TMG organized a workshop focusing on the waste issues, welcoming many officials from the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration. The report of the workshop, in which the two cities shared their experiences with each other, is offered here.

Aiming at addressing "infectious disease"; a common problem for the major Asian cities:
ANMC21 Countermeasures to Combat Infectious Diseases in Asia, Conference on the Joint Research and Survey was held in Tokyo

The conference on the joint research and survey was conducted in Tokyo with the timely theme of novel influenza. In spite of that the conference was once postponed due to the massive flood in Jakarta, information and opinions were actively exchanged during the conference.
