Preparing for Large Scale Disasters by Strengthening Cooperation among Asian Cities
- Rescue team members from four Asian Cities participate in the TMG Comprehensive Disaster Management Drill -

For some years, Asian rescue teams have taken part in the annual Comprehensive Disaster Management Drill in Tokyo. This year, four rescue teams came to Tokyo for this joint training exercise. We will look at the exchanges between the rescue teams of each city and how the drill went on the day.

The ANMC 21 Exhibition introduces the culture of major cities across Asia. This year it was held in Tomsk, Russia. At the Tokyo booth, we convey Japanese culture to the residents of Tomsk with in cooperation with local student volunteers.

This year, the “Welcome to Asia Campaign”, an ANMC21 joint project, commenced mutual tourism PR through cooperation among Asian cities. Please have a look at some of the PRs undertaken by Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Hanoi and Tokyo.

This year as well, Asian students at Tokyo Metropolitan University gained their degrees and started out on their own individual paths. At TMG as well, a ceremony was held to both applaud their efforts to complete the course and celebrate the obtaining of degrees.

The annual Asian Crisis Management Conference was held in Kuala Lumpur. There were two days of shared-experiences and learning each other based on the theme, the “Essential Key of Resilience in Devastating Crisis and Disaster”.
