and expertise and exchange opinions, with the aim of enhancing the cities'

【2】Human Resource Development
The Network for Crisis Management engages in training and educating staff.
It provides training courses, and invites rescue workers from other cities
to participate in Tokyo's disaster drill.
■Joint training at the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Comprehensive Disaster
Management Drill
The Network for Crisis Management conducts joint training at the Tokyo
Metropolitan Government Comprehensive Disaster Management Drill. Rescue
teams from participating cities take park in the training to enhance their
capabilities.

■Rescue and Technical Course
The Network for Crisis Management conducts training for instructors of
firefighting and rescue techniques. This is provided in two stages, training
in Tokyo and follow-up training in the participating cities, to enhance
the skills of rescue workers in accordance with the needs of each city.
■Search and Rescue training
The Network for Crisis Management, jointly with the Singapore Civil Defence
Force, conducts urban search and rescue training to enhance the practical
skills of rescue workers.
【3】Exchange of Information via Emergency Hotline
Information is exchanged among participating cities regarding crisis management in both
normal times as well as times of disaster through the Emergency Hotline,
which makes use of a mailing list.
